What types of talk therapy or evidenced based practices do you use? A: Depends on the individual/group needs. Common approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered, cultural competence, motivational interviewing, strengths-based, positive psychology, supportive therapy, and more.
How long are sessions? How often do sessions occur? A: Please see "what we offer" section.
Do you accept insurance? A: Please see "insurance and fees" for payment options.
How do I know if therapy is right for me? A: It is encouraged you complete a free 15-minute consultation to ask necessary questions. You will be guided based upon your identified issues/needs and/or questions. Please prepare ahead.
How can I schedule appointments? A: We will operate using TherapistAppointment platform where all appointments, messaging, and cancellations will be held.
What about privacy and confidentiality? A: Parkforward upholds standard guidelines on HIPAA, confidentiality, and privacy of information. However, virtual sessions and sharing of information may not guarantee absolute confidentiality so ensure you have a private space to hold sessions.
What is the cancellation policy? A: We understand life happens. Whenever foreseeable, appointments must be canceled within 24 hours of appointment time. I know that is not always possible however, complete no call, no show will be subject to FULL out of pocket responsibility (copayment/coinsurance, self-pay, etc). New appointments cannot be scheduled until balance is brought to zero.
